When entering numbers into Excel zeros at the beginning of the number are removed. This can be an issue when entering phone numbers. By default, Microsoft Excel won't display leading zeros in Microsoft Excel. When these values are text then any mobile numbers, code numbers, ZIP codes, post codes are showing in the MS Excel cell.
For example, you can format 10 or 11 digits mobile numbers (Mobile Number with Zero on MS Excel) such as 0123456789, or 0541xxxxx or 01, 02, 03 etc Select the cell or range that you want to format and then-
Right click on the mouse and...Click “Format Cells” (dialog box will appear)
In the “Number” tab select “Custom” from the list.
In the “Type” box write 0 eleven times.
Click on ok.
